Happy Friday! Here is this week’s 8 Good Things. This is my year-long weekly gift that is meant to be helpful, inspirational, aspirational, and informational. If I miss a Friday, it is because I am somewhere with no access to the internet 😉 Please keep scrolling down to see our upcoming Sojourns!

Sojourn Explorers

1) One thing shared by every place you visit, a sunset. Here are 13 stunning cities where you can celebrate the end of the day. See where my home city LA rates 😉 Click here.

2) 13 Amazing Things Travel Does To Your Brain. Here’s three: makes you more creative, sharper, and (my personal favorite) HAPPIER. Find out more.

3) All work and no play, not good! America can learn a lot from Europe’s work/life balance. CNN explains America’s workaholic lifestyle.

4) I have walked marathons on all seven continents, doing them as fundraisers. It took me five years. I still walk a lot these days. My legs feel it. Specifically, I experience sore joints and tendinitis in my left hip and ankle. Yoga, and believe it or not, walking, helps me feel better. Prolonged sitting does not! What also really helps is putting two scoops of Great Lake Gelatin Collagen into my coffee, tea or yogurt twice a day. If you have similar issues, I swear by this product. I buy it in bulk!

5) 5 Phrases That Can Change Your Child’s Life, staring with “I still believe in you.” I shared this one with my baby godson’s mother, who is already a fantastic mom. Love this article.

6) The artist, the musical composer, the architect, and the scientist all share one thing in common, the yearn for creativity. This is actually true for most people. Read how one physicist believes creativity is more than just art.

7) A woman’s game-changing approach to poverty relief. Her nonprofit model helps families become homeowners and able to send their kids to college. Read more.

8) “Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful” ~Albert Schweitzer, German theologian, philosopher and physician (1875-1965)

Bali, August 1st – 7th. I am doing my 2nd annual Happiness Meditation Retreat in Bali at the award-winning Floating Leaf Eco-Luxury Retreat. If you want more life balance, and less stress, then this retreat is for you. You will leave feeling more centered, and in control of your daily life. Learn how to master happiness and the art of life balance. Details here: Picture Happiness.

Argentina, December 18th – January 6th. Where can you climb one of the seven summits and drink great wine? Mt. Aconcagua (22,841ft.) and Malbec pair nicely in Argentina (well, pre or post climb!) This year we are doing a climb in support of the Green Beret Foundation. The climb is being led by world-class climbing guides, Willie and Damien Benegas. Here is what they have to say: “We could not be more proud to be working with this great organization, looking forward to sharing this upcoming Aconcagua trip with you all.” Details here: Sojourn Explorers Aconcagua.

QUALITY IN EVERY SENSE

Thirty-six hours that will change your life. This is no overstatement. Be among the first to land at our magnetic north in a modern airship that uses innovative technology that combines the best of fixed-wing airplanes, helicopters, and static helium lift. What is old is new and even better, and more sustainable than jets or vehicles.
